Who are we?

NEW Voices is our all-inclusive Community Chorus. Our 200 enthusiastic members come from all walks of life and share a passion for singing. We welcome members with varied levels of music experience from well-versed choristers to total beginners. Our singers perform in prestigious projects throughout the year alongside our professional orchestra NEW Sinfonia.

Where is it?

Our rehearsals take place at two rehearsal hubs in North Wales. Our members can chose to join us in Wrexham or St Asaph on Saturday mornings at 10.00 - 12:00. We are a project based ensemble meaning our singers opt into each project usually taking place over 6 week periods.

Gresford: Up From Underground

The premiere of a brand-new opera by Jon Guy and Grahame Davies commissioned to mark 90 years since the Gresford Mining Disaster. Our singers performed the opera at the North Wales International Music Festival at St Asaph Cathedral, as well as three performances at St Giles Church, Wrexham.

I feel really privileged to be part of NEW Voices. The experiences you provide for the choir are extraordinary.  It is an honour to sing with New Voices and so be exposed to the variety of music and expertise that you provide.’ – Sandra Jones
