Music and Humanity - Exhibition

Join NEW Sinfonia and UareUK Refugee Hub for a multimedia exhibition of music and visual art centred around stories of war and displacement.

An experience unlike any other awaits with interactive art installations, craft sessions, and visual art presented within an immersive cutting-edge setting by members of Wrexham’s United to Assist Refugees UK Hub.

The exhibition is free to attend with donations gratefully received.

The Exhibition

The exhibition will feature interactive exhibits curated by members of the Hub including a Disorientation Booth: an exhibit which seeks to immerse you into an unfamiliar world replicating just a part of the challenges refugee face when arriving in a new country, and a What Would you Take? Challenge which helps participants to understand some of the sacrifices refugees are forced to make.

Syrian born Ghazwan Assaf is one of the featured artists whose latest collection of paintings titled ‘Escape and Hope’ will be on display.

This spring marks one year since our first project with UareUK and two years since the invasion of Ukraine and the start of the ongoing war. We’re presenting this exhibition as a call to and for humanity.

Following from our collaboration with UareUK, we are impassioned to be presenting another concert which will raise awareness of the realities of being a refugee today in the UK, raise funds to support UareUK, and bring a poignant programme of high-quality visual art and music to our audiences.
