NEW Sinfonia present a day filled with fantastic chamber music performed by musicians from the orchestra. Chamber music is a genre of classical music performed by smaller groups of musicians in more intimate surroundings, making it very engaging experience for everyone listening. The Chamber Music Day Extravaganza will feature 2 concerts in 1 day.

 

Concert 1 – Duo Vivo @ 1pm

Concert 1 features Duo Vivo comprised of young and ambitious musicians Jonathan Guy (clarinet) and Leanne Cody (piano). The duo formed whilst they were studying at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and have performed many recitals across the UK to great acclaim.

François Devienne – Clarinet Sonata No. 1, 1st mvt

Camille Saint-Saëns – Clarinet Sonata

Maurice Jeanjean – Guisganderie

 

All concerts throughout the day will be FREE to enter. Donations will be taken at the end of each performance to support the running of the day.

Refreshments will be served all day in the Church Lounge. A selection of teas, coffees and delicious cakes will be available.
